THOMAS CARDIF, the renegade, has taken Perry Rhodan's place as Administrator of the Solar Imperium and nobody-neither Perry Rhodan's closest friends nor the mutants-suspects that a doppelganger is at the helm.  Although Cardif's behaviour does not live up to the standards expected of Perry Rhodan, his strange conduct is presumably explained by the shock Rhodan's mental health has suffered when he was captured by the Antis.  Thus Cardif the usurper feels triumphant that nobody has seen through him and feels he can rule to his heart's content.  The question remains, however, how long can he keep it up, because the Antis, Cardif's supporters and accomplices, can unmask the false Administrator any time.  Moreover, IT, the non-corporeal being from the planet Wanderer, has seen through his shameful game and started the counteraction of which the first phase is the-- Wonderflower of Utik!

Sgt. Emery was leaning back in his seat, holding his automatic rifle in his hands. "Then the Antis would have a couple hundred more bogeys they could detect," he replied. "I think the Chief is planning a surprise attack. The Ironduke can't be traced by any hypersensor as long as it's moving in the libration zone."Emery could see at a glance that Henderson's confidence wasn't much to go on. His superior officer appeared to be nervous and unsure of himself. But Emery had known Henderson long enough to realize that this seeming insecurity always vanished in battle. Then he would strangely change into the leading figure of his unit. His orders and decisions were then calm and well calculated--SGT ROBOT!

TURBULENT recent events have kept Perry Rhodan and his friends so occupied that they have neglected to pay sufficient attention to the Antis-as the worshipers of the secret Baalol cult are generally known.  And thus the "10 Year Plan" of the Antis, which aimed at spreading the narcotic drug Liquitiv throughout the inhabited worlds of the Galaxy, could be launched without interference.  The effects of this plan had already been exposed by the results of an alarming investigation on the planet Lepso by Division 3 which had intensified further research of the Liquitiv case.  What at first had occupied only a few agents of the Solar Imperium had become a major government operation since the situation on Terra and its colonial planets, as well as Arkon, had become desperate.  The necessary precautions had been disregarded for years after renowned research scientists had come to the conclusion that the new liqueur Liquitiv was extremely potent in delaying the natural aging process of the human organism and providing new vigor to those imbibing it.  The disastrous error had already been revealed-but this alone did not improve the situation which had to be normalized by radical steps as Perry Rhodan realized--FALSE FRONT!

EDITORIAL REVIEW:Through hypno schooling, Perry Rhodan had learned the scientific knowledge of the star-roving Arkonides, and now his task was to construct a huge starship to open communication between Earth and the might Arkonide Empire.  But the nations of Earth, in their fear, destroyed the remains of the lone Arkonide research ship on the moon, setting off an alarm to summon retaliation from the war bases of the stellar empire... EDITORIAL REVIEW:When Perry Rhodan arrived in the vicinity of the star-sun Vega, he found a race of human-like beings who were being systematically destroyed by reptilian invaders. PUCKY made use of his telekinesis, for the first time taking an almost hostile stand against Rhodan. ALL ARKON would now begin to search for Thomas Cardif. Perry Rhodan's rebellious son had finally slipped from his hands and was marching blindly to his doom. Rhodan was thinking of what Atlan had told him concerning Thomas and the laws of Arkon. Even the Imperator had to abide by the law and his hands would be tied if an Arkon court should sentence Cardif to death.Pucky was needed desperately!In every cabin and hold of the Lorch-Arto the intercom speakers rang out with an urgent call for the mousebeaver. Pucky had been on board but at present was nowhere to be found on the freighter. Nor was he hiding in the air-regenerator unit.Find Pucky! This was Rhodan's order.But if Pucky did not wish to be found he simply screened off his thoughts and then all the mutants including the mental tracker Lloyd could only reach out into Emptiness. Such is the desperate situation faced in the next adventure— POWER'S PRICE!
